Laser Therapy

Therapeutic Laser Therapy

  • What is Therapeutic Laser Therapy?  A Therapeutic Laser Therapy is a physical modality that emits photons (light) in very specific regions of the electro-magnetic spectrum.  It is a revolutionary technology for the treatment of pain, soft tissue injuries, and inflammation.

  • Is Therapeutic Laser Therapy Right for Me?  This treatment can be used to safely and effectively treat low back, neck and disc pain. Chronic pain, Acute (traumatic) pain, tendonitis, arthritis, bursitis, sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ disorders and much more are also treated with Therapeutic Laser Therapy.

  • How is it Administered?  Therapeutic Laser Therapy is simple and painless.  It is similar to holding a flashlight close to the skin and shining a light on it.  With light to firm pressure the doctor will cover the whole area to be treated.

  • How long does it take?  Multiple treatments are needed to resolve chronic conditions and injuries.  Most treatments take 1-10 minutes depending on size of area to be treated. Preferably, treatments are administered 2-3 times a week for optimal results.

  • Can I Afford Therapeutic Laser Therapy?  Therapeutic Laser Therapy is an approved procedure that is covered by most insurance companies, and is compensated under Workers Compensation and Personal Injury.

Insight Millennium

1. Do the Insight Millennium tests hurt? Absolutely not. The tests do not utilize any needles, electrical shock, or heat whatsoever. They are receiving important information from your Central Nervous System.

2. Why does the chiropractor administer these tests? Our purpose for administering these tests is to detect and pinpoint abnormal function in the spine which cannot be seen on X-ray. Abnormal spinal function causes abnormal Nervous System disturbance. The three standard tests will measure: 1) SEMG - the amount of electrical current in the muscles, 2) Thermography - skin temperature along the spine, and 3) Inclinometry - range of movement of the spine.

3. Why is it important to monitor the results? Your chiropractor wants the best results for patients like yourself. He/she can easily monitor your changes through periodic progress exams. It has been proven that a very slight amount of pressure (the weight of a dime!)* can disturb the communication of the Nervous System whether or not symptoms are present. How can the chiropractor measure the results after removing pressure? The advanced technology of the Insight Millennium. This is vitally necessary to monitor how the spine is working. It is key to improving your health and well-being.

4. How will this test benefit me? For years, a major concern of the public has been, "Why do I have to keep coming back when I'm pain-free?" or "How do I know if 1m getting the proper amount of adjustments?"  Now you are able to actually see the changes, and it will be easier to understand the amount and type of care you are receiving. Because of this technology, your chiropractor can provide a "tailormade" program to meet your specific health needs.
